Called ‘The Qur'ān in Persian’ by Sufis, the Masnavi is Rumis magnum opus. It is among the most important works in the Muslim world, once read from the Balkans to the Bengal.


The six-volume book is a collection of stories, anecdotes, and explanations intended to guide the spiritual seeker along the path.


Join us as we read selections of the first book along with commentaries to illuminate the deeper meanings of the text.

Class Information:


Platform: Zoom (classes are recorded, live attendance *not* required).

Time: 12 Noon NYC time, 5 PM London time.

Duration: 70-90 Minutes.

Dates: May 7th - July 10th.

Days: English class - Saturday, Persian class - Sunday.

Students can attend only the English class or both classes:

The Saturday class consists of a short lecture, reading the Masnavi in English, and looking into the commentaries to deepen our understanding.

In the Sunday class, students read the Masnavi in Persian. The goal of this section is to improve Persian reading comprehension.
